Spring 2027 Camino: Porto to Santiago
Confirmed nine-day March 6–14, 2027 trip: depart the U.S. on Saturday, March 6, arrive and stay in Porto on March 7, transfer to Vigo and start walking on March 8, walk five days from Vigo to Santiago, return to Porto on March 13, and fly home on March 14. The five walking stages total roughly 111 km (69 miles).

Day 1: March 6 · Depart the U.S.
Overnight flight to Portugal; arrive in Porto the following day.

Day 2: March 7 · Porto arrival & welcome
Arrive at Porto Airport on Sunday, rest after the overnight flight, and gather for a welcome in Porto.

Day 3: March 8 · Vigo → Redondela
Take the early charter bus from Porto to Vigo on Monday, then begin walking to Redondela that same day: approximately 16 km (10 miles). Estimated departure around 6:00 a.m. in Porto and arrival around 9:00 a.m. in Vigo, both local times; Spain is one hour ahead of Portugal. No overnight in Vigo.

Day 4: March 9 · Redondela → Pontevedra
Walk about 22 km through countryside and past old chapels to Pontevedra.

Day 5: March 10 · Pontevedra → Caldas de Reis
Walk about 29 km through forests, vineyards, and stone hamlets to Caldas de Reis.

Walk about 19 km among streams and fields to Padrón.

Walk approximately 25 km via O Milladoiro and continue directly to the Cathedral in Santiago. O Milladoiro is a pass-through, not an overnight stop.

Spend the morning in Santiago, then transfer back to Porto.

The Spring trip is confirmed. Arrival-night rest in Porto gives the group time to recover and meet before the transfer to Vigo and first walk. Distances and transfer times are estimates, not exact hotel-to-hotel distances or guaranteed timings; distances depend on starting points, lodging, and route choices. We’ll discuss lodging, transfers, guides, spiritual support, and what the trip includes in our personal follow-up.
